Credits and benefits give you access to Google Cloud and online learning platforms at no cost - no credit card or other payment instrument required. Applicants will need to provide evidence of faculty status at an eligible institution.
Google Cloud Credits
Free Cloud Billing credits to pay for resources used while you learn about Google Cloud. These credits can be used on any Google Cloud product.
$100 per faculty
$50 per student
Faculty can request Google Cloud credits for use in academic courses, clubs, and faculty-sponsored events. Faculty and Teaching Assistants receive $100 in credits per course. Students receive $50 per course. Credits expire 12 months after they are issued. Applications require evidence of faculty status and can take 2 weeks to process.

3,000 Qwiklabs credits to share with students
Faculty can create a Qwiklabs share group to share credits with students and track lab completion. Applications require a school-issued email address and can take 3 weeks to process.
Note: All members of the group share the total amount of credits, so one user could potentially use all of the group’s credits. To avoid sharing issues, students can apply for 200 credits each.
On-demand training courses
Gain a deeper understanding of Google Cloud by applying for access to 13 professional-level fundamental courses on Coursera at no cost. The current list of courses is available on the application form and in the FAQs. Applications require a school-issued email address and can take 3 weeks to process.

Prepare your students for careers in cloud with faculty resources designed to help you teach skills for a cloud-first workplace.
Access to career readiness program
Faculty can apply to receive access to the Architecting with Google Compute Engine specialization and Data Analyst track for you and your students. Faculty receive a 100% discount on the Associate Cloud Engineer certification examination. Applications require evidence of faculty status and can take 2 weeks to process.
Get credits, faster
We are beta testing a new way to get credits into your hands more quickly. Instead of submitting a different application for every type of credit you need, verify your education credentials once per year and you’ll receive access to automatically redeem credits and benefits. The verification process can take up to 48 hours. For now, you can redeem training credits through this process.

To verify your identity, you will need access to a school-issued email account, a phone number, a school ID card, and a government ID.
